- The general viewpoint of the left is to say that Dalits are going to get completely destroyed because of the new economic policy (globalization). But this is an erroneous standpoint even from a classic Marxist theoretical understanding. Because at every stage of capitalism when there is a crisis, as Marx says, capitalism has to renew its relations of production and mode of production to survive and develop. Globalization is a stage of capitalism which is doing exactly this. And in such a renewal, again as Marx says, there is a development of the productive forces which becomes inevitable for the survival and development of capitalism itself. From this it is obvious that what we know as the Left should be corrected.
